There are extensive views from this street on the north side of Consett. Good view over to the western side of the Derwent Valley and the moors beyond.

Former vicarage, Blackhill
This on Laburnum Avenue, beside the Park at Blackhill. It is now a private residence, but was once the vicarage for St Aidan's Church on the opposite side of the road. The church is no longer in use.

This road on the west side of the town centre is well named. It gives extensive views to the west, over the suburb of Blackhill, and then across the northern side of the Derwent Valley.

This road on the North side of Consett runs along the escarpment and affords spectacular views over the surrounding countryside, hence its name. Blackhill is in the middle distance with the spire of St Mary's church in the centre.

Victorian house on Laburnum Avenue, Blackhill
There are some fine old Victorian properties along this street in the Blackhill area of Consett. This one is called The Old Manse, and is indeed on the corner of Manse Street. Probably second half of the C19 in date.
