Rosebank Lane
It looks much more like a lane at its northern end, where it meets St James' Road, but here it is much wider. The bowling green is on the right.

The cemetery was opened in about 1850, replacing the parish kirkyard as the principal site of burial of Forfar people. It contains some imposing and elaborate monuments.

New Club
This is the premises of the New Club. I believe that snooker is played, and that the premises are licensed, but that is as much as I know. When I had a temporary job as a Christmas postie I used to leave my car parked here while I lugged the heavy bag of Christmas cards up the hill on a round that included five manses and an old folks' home.

Part of the central area of the cemetery, which is pleasantly landscaped with mature trees, some of them, such as the tall Chilean pine, rather exotic.
