Walker's nightmare
If you pursue the path on the map, from Gale Moss to Lodge Lane, this is what will greet you.
The designated path is to the left: it continues as a farm track to the right, beyond the trees. The pond is impassable without waders and the farmer has dumped tens of tons of silage over the path. To continue your walk, you will need to climb over the six-foot piles to reach the track!

Footbridge-stile
Over Gale Brook. Anyone walking this way should be wary of the way-marks: the field ahead has been completely levelled, sown, and surrounded by electrified fencing (the black cables can be seen on the stile posts). Furthermore, none of the three arrows marks a discernible path. If you go directly ahead, you will eventually reach the remains of a stile leading to a farm track to Lodge Lane but consider the succeeding photo to see the obstacles involved: Image
