Old Central Cross on Church Lane, Austrey
The Butter Cross, old base and steps in a new cross, by the UC road, in parish of Austrey (North Warwickshire District), Church Lane, junction with Main Road, beside Bird in Hand PH, on paving outside the pub.

The Butter Cross and"Bird in Hand" public house, Austrey
The well-worn market cross plinth has been in this very place for at least seven hundred years. The pub is more modern - only fifteenth century! You can also see the spire of St Nicholas Parish Church. A church has been on the same site for over eight hundred years.
