Massey Ferguson, Banner Lane, Coventry
The Massey Ferguson flag still flies over one of the office blocks on this site which occupies almost a 3rd of the area of this square. Unfortunately the orange heaps just visible over the roof are all that is left of most of the factory as the demolition teams clear the site.

Banner Lane's altered skyline
Approximately two hours after the blow-down of the former Massey Ferguson office block and traffic has just been allowed back onto Banner Lane. Damped down dust can still be seen on the road and pavement. The remaining debris of the block is hidden behind the trees in the centre.

Banner Lane's altered skyline
Approximately one hour after the former Massey Ferguson tower block had been demolished by controlled explosion and the top of the remains can just be seen behind the Spar shop on the skyline. At this time Banner Lane was still closed whilst damping down of dust and clearance of any stray debris took place.

Former tower block, Banner Lane
People inspecting the remains of the former Massey Ferguson office block two hours after its demolition by controlled explosion. Most of the area of the factory has now been redeveloped with housing and shops and it is expected that a primary school will be constructed in this last part.

Office block, Banner Lane
This 17-storey tower block was built for Massey Ferguson (later Agco) in 1965. The 1930's Massey Ferguson factory buildings which stood behind the tower have been demolished and new housing is gradually taking its place. The tower block stands empty at the moment and its future is uncertain.
It makes an appearance in photos from several other points:
