Surrey Hills Court
Block of 20 flats in Godstone Road
The site was originally the location of the Caterham Sanitarium (sic) and Surrey Hills Hydropathic which had opened on 30 May 1903 under the auspices of the Seventh Day Adventists, as a revamp of the Surrey Hills Hydro and Turkish Baths which had been established there in 1898. It closed on 31 December 1921, with the building being sold in 1923, when it became the Hydro Hotel, later being renamed the Surrey Hills Hotel by the 1930s, marked as such on the 1935 1:2,500 map. A further change of use later followed, with the 1958-61 1:1,250 Plan marking it as Government Offices (it housed the local Job Centre). It was subsequently acquired by local builders Croudace, as overflow offices from Maybrook House on the other side of the road. They later demolished it, replacing it with the current building in 2006, retaining the Surrey Hills name.
