Demolition of 2, Lloyd Park Avenue, Croydon
When the Croydon tram system was constructed, only a few properties (including one or two new ones that had never been occupied) had to be demolished. One example was No 2, Lloyd Park Avenue, which had to be removed to make way for the sharp bend from the former railway alignment onto Coombe Road.

Site of 2, Lloyd Park Avenue, Croydon
The house on the right is No 4, Lloyd Park Avenue, but there used to be another very similar house just to the left of it. The latter had to be demolished in November 1997 to allow the new Croydon tram line to turn the sharp corner from the old railway alignment to reach Combe Road. There are no odd-numbered houses in Lloyd Park Avenue, as the other side of the road borders on open parkland.
