Coast Road Shotton
Prior to the building of the A55 dual carriageway to Bangor North Wales and the opening of the Dee bridge at Connah's Quay, the road shown used to be a major though heavily congested route from Manchester and Liverpool into north Wales coastal resorts. It is now downgraded to a B class road.

Bench mark in Hurlbutts Drive, Queensferry, Clwyd
This bench mark is on the north east buttress of the North Wales railway line bridge that crosses Hurlbutts Drive. Strangely the Ordnance Survey database records the mark at 0.7 metres high, but with the mark at much nearer eye-level, it's possible the wall has been rebuilt. See also Image

East side of the Parish Church of St Ethelwold, Shotton
Church in Wales church in the Diocese of St Asaph, built in 1898-1902 to the designs of Douglas and Minshull, architects of Chester. The patron was W.E.Gladstone who died (on May 19th 1898) before the church was completed. The church was Grade II Listed in 1991 as a strongly designed late Victorian Gothic church. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6036801 to a broader view of the church.
