The Cinder Path, Saltney Ferry
You can't stop progress, so the Cinder Path is now tarmac. However, it is much improved, and running between the Holyhead to Chester rail line on the left, and St David's High School playing fields on the right, it is a better, safer route between the Mainwaring Estate and St David's Terrace.

Chester to Holyhead Rail Line
Taken from the footpath behind St David's Secondary School, the photograph shows the 11.40 from Holyhead arriving just in time to provide some foreground interest. The electricity pylon in the distance, which is in the same square, stands guard over the local electricity sub-station.

Old Boundary Marker in Saltney Ferry
Parish Boundary Marker from the parish of Dodleston (Chester District), was at Bretton Hall, is now in a private garden in Saltney Ferry. This Boundary Stone pre-dates the 'Henry Hegg, Mayor, 1785' Chester City, Boundary Stones by two years. Inscription reads:- D P 1783 (Dodleston Parish) and on the reverse:- H P (Hawarden Parish) Milestone Society National ID: CH_DODHAW01pb
