Devon House, Kingsdown Parade, Bristol
One of the street's grander Georgian houses. Its stylistic similarity to many of William Paty's known works in Bristol suggest his was the guiding hand. Built c1790. Grade II listed.

48-86 Kingsdown Parade, Bristol
Another colourful example of Bristol's Georgian terraces, the windows topped by the city's ubiquitous stepped voussoirs. Some good fanlights too (Image]). Probably dating from c1790, and probably by William Paty. Grade II listed.

Up Spring Hill
A steep but narrow passageway on the hills overlooking central Bristol. The steps carry through the flat Kingsdown Parade, Somerset Street and Dove Street, and are aligned with the centre of the once-elegant Kings Square at the foot. The steps come as a pair, with a rather odd central section of cobbles. To make things a little more safe, there are barriers at the bottom of the latter.
