The Brislington Brook
The small stream rises not too far away but can generate some heavy flows - hence the pronounced use of concrete in this suburban area - but not in the current dry spell.

Crossing the Brislington Brook
A small footbridge links the two inter-war suburban housing areas as the brook bisects them. However, this footbridge has a history that goes back well over a century to when all this was fields.

Above the busy traffic
Bristol Hill is part of the A4 as it runs from south-east Bristol, through Brislington and on to Bath. The terrain is helpful for the housing as they are quite some height above road level and a bit further away from the (normally) busy traffic. See Image] for a benchmark beside the brick walling.
