Over and under the old railway bridge
The former Bristol and North Somerset Line bridge is all that remains of the route, which is now a foot and cycle path.

Between Dutton Road and Lanesborough Rise
A path linking the two roads is garlanded with Spring growth. Just for a few paces it seems to be a wild vista, lined by bluebells and dandelions, before returning to suburbia.

A path off Dutton Close
A track down the hill is guarded by a familiar set of metal tubes. On closer inspection they were made by Fearn Truck Bodies of Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Clearly a bit of diversification.

Bristol townscape from above
Looking north along the line of the A37 into Bristol from the south, from over Whitchurch. The obvious school, lower left, is the Oasis Academy John Williams, a secondary school http://www.oasisacademyjohnwilliams.org/.

2009 : Looking north on Sturminster Road
Not sure which district this belongs to, according to my "Premier Bristol AZ" it is equidistant between Hengrove, Whitchurch and Stockwood. OS Explorer 155 is not much help either but places it closer to Stockwood.

A cat nap on the path
A moggy takes some time out in the warm Spring sunshine. With the nation in lockdown it must think it's a good thing that there aren't many people about to disturb the peace.

Steps to Sturminster Road
Looking down from the old railway line to the road, these steps also include channelling to aid cyclists as they use them.
