Southease from the River Ouse
The willows act as windbreakers for the village particularly noticeable today when the cold easterly wind hit me as I walked through the gap in the trees. That gap carries the lane from the village to the station and at this angle reveals the church.

Southease Village Green
Small triangle of land east of the church with one building to the south east in view and one on the south west corner out of shot to the right. The village seems to have shrunk over time, in 1831 the population was 142, in 1931 it was 79, 1981 it was 41 and today it is a little over 30. Taken at sunrise.

Cottage opposite parish church, Southease, East Sussex
Southease is a tiny village, with this lovely little green in front of the round towered church. A road crosses the Ouse valley. In the '70s it was a public metalled (yellow) road, but the level crossing is no longer manned and only farm or local traffic is permitted to use it in its entirety now.
