Chichester Drive West
Taken from the junction with Saltdean Vale. Built from the 1920s onwards by Charles Neville, also the builder of nearby Peacehaven, Saltdean has aged better simply because the design and layout of the roads matched the contours of the land utilising the curves and not just driving roads in a straight line.

A residential road linking Saltdean Vale to Bishopstone Drive that was one of many laid out in the 1920s but not really developed until the 1950s onwards. The flats on the right are Westbrook which were built in the 1970s.

One of two parades of shops that are located in the road, see also Image These were built in the 1950s to serve the residents of western Saltdean. Number 61 was until recently a sub post office which has since moved to 126 whilst number 87 is a small Co-Op.
