The Barlow Institute, Edgeworth
This red brick building, with stone dressings, was built on Bolton Road by Sir Thomas Barlow and his brothers and sisters in 1909 as a memorial to their parents. It has a recreational/cricket field (Image]) and bowling green (Image]) and in its early days had an open-air swimming pool. Flight of Steps beside the Wayoh Reservoir Embankment
Adopted by the Witton Weavers Way long distance footpath, these steps take the walker to the site of Edgworth Quarries - there is now no trace of the former workings. The steps also form part of a walk that circumnavigates the reservoir.

Edgworth Cricket Club - Pavilion
Edgworth CC's pavilion at their Bolton Road ground. The changing rooms can be seen to the left of the pavilion. The ground was part of a bequest from the Barlow family and the red-brick Barlow Institute can be seen in the background.
