Junction Road, Deane
Part of the village of Deane before it was swallowed up by Bolton. There are four pubs, with three visible here. The Kings Head is behind me. The Stags Head is boarded up, but The Queen Anne is only undergoing some repairs and is still open. The Vulcan is further on to the left.

Deane Parish Church, St Mary the Virgin
The church became a parish church in 1541 though the building dates from before that. The parish covered a very wide area on the west side of Bolton, before Bolton had developed.
