Former Evercreech Junction station, 1991
View northward on A371 road, on the former Somerset & Dorset Railway towards Bath, also Burnham-on-Sea via Highbridge. All had ceased from 7/3/66. However, someone thought to save a station nameboard.

The Natterjack Inn
Close to the site of the old Evercreech Junction station on the now closed Somerset and Dorset railway. It was originally called The Railway and became The Silent Whistle on closure of the railway in 1966. It was renamed the Natterjack in the 1970s

Highbridge branch train at Evercreech Junction
View SE, towards Templecombe and Bournemouth: ex-Somerset & Dorset Bath - Bournemouth line, junction of branch to Highbridge and Burnham-on-Sea. The 17.00 to Highbridge is headed by LMS-type Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41242 (built 10/49, withdrawn 4/65) - class extensively used on BR(SR) at that time. Evercreech Junction and all the lines were closed on 7/3/66.

Old Milepost by A371, Natterjack Inn, Arthur's Bridge
The Milepost is located on the grass verge on the West of the road.  Parish of Evercreech (Mendip District). Cast iron post, plated iron casting design, erected by the Shepton Mallet turnpike trust in the 19th Century. Cast iron post by the A371, in parish of EVERCREECH (MENDIP District), Natterjack Inn, Arthur's Bridge, on grass verge, on West side of road.
