View from the top of Font Lane
This maize field has been left untouched since the late harvest. The wet weather has made it difficult to prepare the soil for next year. Many of the fields in areas of heavy clay have had drains laid under the surface to help rectify this problem and have ditches running along the hedges to catch the surplus water.
