Farmer's Bridge Lock No 9
The lock is underneath Newhall Street Bridge in Birmingham city centre, it is part of the Farmer's Bridge Lock Flight, which comprises 13 locks and a rise of 81 feet.

View from Newhall Street - spot the canal
The Birmingham & Fazeley canal's Farmer's Bridge flight of locks is partly under modern building and the lock gate balance beams can be seen on the right. In the distance the Water Street Bridge can be seen with the red fire service door that is characteristic of Birmingham's canals. I had never noticed this view despite walking down Newhall street dozens of times.
