What's with the Bins!
There appear to be phantoms around the Chester Road / Orphanage Road junction that have taken the phrase 'taking out the trash' to extreme lengths - they are TAKING the trash/bin themselves! Happening regularly, no wonder the council is delaying replacement. See Image for another example.

The Josiah Mason Traffic Island, Erdington.
This island stands at the crossroads of the A452 Chester Road and Orphanage Road Erdington. The statue on the island is of Josiah Mason and closer view of this and information about the great man can be seen on Image He helped to give Birmingham the title of "The City of a Thousand Trades"

Josiah Mason
Visitors to Erdington arriving on the A452 Chester Road are greeted by "Old Joe", one of Birmingham's most famous industrialists and philanthropists. In the 1850s and 60s he spent a considerable part of his fortune on an orphanage and almshouses in Erdington.
