Cross Keys Public House, Station Road, Erdington
Located on corner of Station Road and Sutton Road, Erdington, this photo also shows the 'Sign Service' advert on building to the right of the pub. This company has traded here for many, many years.
The steeple behind is 'The Abbey', and the block of flats on right in background is on the Lyndhurst Estate.

Edwards Road south-easterly - Erdington, Birmingham
On Edwards Road looking south-easterly. Immediately adjoining the DIY Icing Centre there is building work going on. I had turned up here for a haircut expecting to find the Studio One hairdressing salon but this is what I found instead. I do hope they will be back in business again. Dominating this scene is the multi-storey Nexus Point. This was formerly the Honeywell Building and was for a time occupied by Birmingham City Council. I did work here for a week but there was no time for admiring the view. Time photo taken 11.50 am BST (British Summer Time).

High Street - Erdington, Birmingham
A view south-west on Sutton Road, looking towards the crossroads ahead. High Street ahead, Edwards Road to the left and Station Road to the right. On the right the Abbey Fire Centre and Highclare School. Erdington Station is on the Birmingham to Lichfield City railway line. Along High Street there are many shops, a Post Office and an indoor market. To forestall enquiries via Geograph it must be emphasised that I am merely the photographer and have no connection whatever with any of the businesses in this area. Edwards Road three eras - Erdington, Birmingham
Here at the north-west end of Edwards Road in Erdington, at its junction with the High Street, are signs from three eras. The topmost, a ghost sign, reads 'J DICKS Tobacconist Confectionery WILLS THREE CASTLES CIGARETTES'. Below are two street nameplates of different design and a mural for the shop on the corner. High Street Surgery, Erdington
Long time surgery, close to junction with Station Road / Edwards Road. The Chemist on right of photo is located where once there was a chinese restaurant. The chemists was once 5 or 6 doors down to right (out of shot). Car is pulling up to traffic lights at Station Road.
