Wallace Statue.
Willie Wallace seems to be inviting people to go into His Majesty's Theatre. The monument (bronze on Corrennie granite base, by WG Stevenson) was unveiled in June 1888.

Aberdeen - Prince Albert Statue, Union Terrace

Skene Street from Denburn Court
Skene Street runs across the middle of the photograph. The street in the foreground is Spa Street, flanked by Woolmanhill Hospital and the Denburn Car Park (with Health Centre on top). On the far side of Skene Street are the back sides of the HM Theatre, St Mark's Church and the Central Library ("Education, Salvation and Damnation"!). On the skyline are the monstrosity of the new Town House, the Mither Kirk and the red brick Triple Kirks.

Aberdeen - Union Street 200
Aberdeen usually has different floral coats-of-arms, displays every year in Union Terrace Gardens. This one commemorates the bicentenary of Union Street, the mile long main street. There was some local discussion as to which year to celebrate - design or completion.
