Base detail 1. Corner of Abraham's Lane near its junction with Chapel Street. A nice example with the usual ornate fluted base, and a tapered fluted pipe section also, although this is somewhat short of the normal full height which appears intentional. As it is situated on a rise, perhaps a full height version was considered unnecessary? The top is "crowned" with an ornate "birdcage".
