The chapel, and its attached schoolroom to the rear, were built in 1873/74 and it is the third chapel on the site. It was a 'Particular' Baptist chapel, see Image for the inscription over the entrance. The buildings are listed grade II (list entry 1134482) as are the walls, railings and gate piers (1186034).
