Petworth House is a late 17th century country house in the small town of Petworth. For centuries it was the southern home for the Percy family, Earls of Northumberland and is considered to be the most important residence in Sussex. It is built using local freestone ashlar with Portland stone for the ornamental sections. Petworth House also has an extensive deer park landscaped by Capability Brown. Now a National Trust property, it is a Grade I listed building. https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101225989-petworth-house-petworth#.XTXhXXdFzwo
