Metal plate attached to stone post by the A303, in parish of WEST CAMEL (SOUTH SOMERSET District), Canegore Corner, at crossroads by A303 in grass, on South side of road. Ilchester iron plate erected by the Ilchester turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- CASTLE CARY 6½ ILCHESTER 4 Grade II listed.
