The tall building with the slate-grey penthouse is (need I say it?) a recent development. Next to it - trying hard to look more traditional with three gables and a flagstaff - is the HQ of the Steadfast Sea Scouts Corps. Thames Side, I should add, is the street name. Out of frame to the right is an old cobbled wharf, now used as a car park - and beyond that, the river.
