This is a close up of the crew portrait shown in the Image The airman third from right back row is not named as he didn't fly on the final mission. I wonder if this was luck or if the USAAF crews had the same superstition as in many RAF Squadrons, it was considered unlucky for a whole crew to be photographed together. A substitute flyer would be drafted in from another crew to make up the numbers.
