It's not known for sure what the plaque was used for, some say a list of toll charges may have been chalked on next to the place names, which are :- Bala, Barmouth, Trawsfynydd, Mowddy (sp), Machynlleth, ????, Mallwyd, Tanybwlch. Link to the Courthouse photo Image
