Radcliffe Civic Suite on Thomas Street, shuttered and fenced off, awaiting its demolition in May 2016. The building, which could cater for up to 400 people and was used to host community events, shows and weddings, was opened by the then-Prime Minister Harold Wilson in March 1974. It closed in April 2016 and is to be demolished with the site designated for housing development (http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/radcliffe-civic-suite-bury-set-10258622 Manchester Evening News). See Image] for a view of the building earlier in the year when it was still open.
