Tewkesbury Abbey gatehouse

The former grand entrance to the Abbey, dating from around 1500 and restored by James Medland in 1849-55. The present entrance to the Abbey at this point is the pathway to the left of the gatehouse, although most people can surely not resist taking a peep through the main archway.
