The photograph on this page of The library by Neil Owen as part of the Geograph project.

The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

Chippenham's twentieth century building lies close to the site of what is known as King Arthur's Palace. Legend has it that the king had a stronghold in the town and was frequently harassed by the marauding Vikings.
