View SE, towards Orpington etc.: ex-SE&C main line from London (Charing Cross etc.) via Orpington, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge to Ashford and Dover etc. (See also Image]). The line to Dartford via Sidcup has branched off to the left, passing the Locomotive Depot seen here in the centre which is in a triangle formed by an east-to-south loop to the main lines. Beyond is the remains of the formerly major Marshalling Yard, with lofty floodlights. An empty train of EMUs approaches on the Up Main, passing an EMU local train on the Down Main.
