Monument in Trinity House Chapel to John Ward (1798-1849), who can be seen as the leading marine artist and ship portrait painter in Kingston upon Hull during the first half of the 19th century. Already successful in his lifetime he mastered every aspect of marine art. This headstone was relocated from the Holy Trinity burial ground, Castle Street, in 1966.
