This mosaic is located on the south bank of the River Witham. Nearby on the opposite side of the South Delph a Bronze Age Craft site was discovered (for details see Image). The "Water Rail Way" is the cycle path from Lincoln to Boston which forms part of National Cycle Network route 1 and here follows the old railway embankment which separates the River Witham from the South Delph
