The road is the South Circular, and on this Saturday morning it's closed for the Olympic road race - expected through in 5 minutes' time. The hard-bitten enthusiasts will be somewhere up around the Boxhill circuit - here it's a more innocent family event. For local people, a brief (but close) view of 140-odd Olympic athletes is their reward for putting up with road closures for much of the weekend.
