The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, photographed from Manor Lane. St. Mary's, at Wotton under Edge, is one of the oldest churches in the area. According to this Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Mary_the_Virgin,_Wotton-under-Edge , it was consecrated in August 1283 and it is believed that most of the church as it stands today was completed in 1325.
