Valley Mill, Eagley

Image: © Chris Allen Taken: 30 Mar 2008

One of two surviving large mill blocks from a major textile mill complex. This is now converted to housing and is still an imposing presence in the landscape. A 1925 aerial photograph shows four large multi-storey blocks, four chimneys, a large weaving shed and sundry other buildings. It is possible Valley Mill is a modern name as my references all refer to Eagley Mills without naming individual blocks.
