The Roman Catholic Church of St John the Evangelist on Ribby Road in Kirkham is locally referred to as "the Willows Church" after the willow trees that grew around the original chapel at the site. The original Willows chapel was established in 1809. This was replaced in 1845 by the present church, which is Grade II Listed by English Heritage.
