A garage once stood here on this site on the old Carlisle Road, B6531, but the buildings have recently been demolished. There has been talk of relocating the Hexham Fire Station onto this site. The high fence behind the cypress hedge is to protect the premises from stray golf balls coming from the direction of Hexham Golf Club.
