This modest town house stands between two rather grander buildings and could easily be ignored by passing pedestrians. A plaque on the wall informs passers by that the house was built by John Carr in the mid 18th century, so maybe this was one of his ealiest houses in the city before he moved on to rather grander houses for the gentry.
