The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.
There are currently over 7.5m images from over 14,400 individuals and you can help contribute to the project by visiting https://www.geograph.org.uk

There are many 'trade' stands at the show. This one, part of the Home Office, is perhaps a sign of the times http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/ . The agency was formed in April 2008 and is responsible for securing the UK's borders. It has 9,000 warranted officers, who have the power of arrest (under for example immigration acts) but are not police officers. I was told that there are ten officers covering Hampshire (outside ports) and that an employer found to be using illegal foreign workers can be fined up to £10,000 per worker.
