Two paths run parallel along the southeastern side of Churchwood Valley. The lower one is the original bridleway which is extremely muddy. It is good for horseriders but walkers would need wellington boots. A permissive footpath has been built running alongside the bridleway and about three feet higher up. This remains dry in most conditions.
