This photograph was taken in July 1997, not long after this balloon class tram had been fitted with a counter on the lower deck selling Walls ice-cream. At the same time it was given this very garish livery. The ice-cream counter only lasted a couple of years but it continued in the Walls livery until 2006. The tram is now over 70 years old and still in service. This view was taken at the Fleetwood tram terminus. The tram is about to turn into Pharos Street. It is on a short-working to Fisherman's Walk at the other end of Fleetwood's town centre. Normally it would work through to Blackpool but as the annual Fleetwood Transport Festival was taking place the tram was operating a shuttle service through Fleetwood.
